Hello! I am Stephen Henry. I would like to welcome you to this web site. 
The Deutsche Schäferhund Zwinger Von Haus Henry (literally translated, German Shepherd
Dog Kennel From The Henry House) is dedicated to that loyal, noble animal known as the
German Shepherd Dog. Von Haus Henry was founded out of the love I have for that dog.
Assuming you are interested in the German Shepherd, it is my heartfelt
pleasure to share with you my passion and affinity for the German Shepherd breed.

I first joined the Verein Für Deutsche Schäferhund (SV) in Augsburg, Germany when I was a soldier,
stationed in Germany during the 1980's, with the United States Army.  I am still an active members of the SV today, traveling
to Germany several times a year, for SV specialty shows, breedings, title examinations, hip/elbow x-rays certifications
and DNA processing. Over the years I have imported seven magnificent animals(from eight weeks old puppies,
to the ultimate Schutzhund III) from Germany for my personal pleasure and have decided to share my love and
passion for these animals with others, through breeding top quality German Bloodlines.
Through a discriminate selection process and following the lead and instructions of my mentors/friends
in Germany(Von Der Hohen Eiche and Von Batu kennels), We can offer you puppies (Schutzhund/family dogs)
that will inspire all that gaze upon them.  These dogs will have the intelligence and desire to please their owners,
reguardless of what is required of them. Our goal is to breed genetically healthy/winning German Shepherds,
that epitomize the breed. These puppies/dogs are warranted to be free of Hip Dysplasia (HD), with even temperaments
and better than average, working drives.

There are three basic types or varieties of German Shepherds(for lack of a better explanation), the
"American bred showline" German Shepherd, the inported German Shepherd "showline dog" and the imported
German Shepherd "working line" dog.   At Von Haus Henry German Shepherds, We breed and import ONLY the imported
German Shepherd "showline" variety. These dogs adhere to the SV breed standards and are black
and tan or black and red, in color. All of our stock is either imported from Germany or is the progeny of that
imported stock. All puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club(AKC).

Dogs are not massed produced here. Von Haus Henry is the result of a hobby, that offers a VERY limited number of dogs per year. But the
quality of our breedings are surpassed by none, worldwide. A breeding, at Von
Haus Henry, will not occur unless there are enough committed homes for the puppies, and all puppies are placed in
carefully screen homes, in the order that the requests were received(we run a standing waiting list). In MOST cases,
the puppies we breed have homes BEFORE the mating event even occurs. If you wait to inquire after puppies are born
I can tell you now, that you have waited too late to begin the adoption process for that particular litter.
Families are preferred when placing our puppies and I do not accept monetary deposits. I do require
a good faith promise to properly care for the animal for the balance of it's life, however. References are available, upon request
from past litters and you are encouraged to call and get first hand knowledge, from families that have purchased
German Shepherd puppies and dogs from Von Haus Henry. You can expect to be heavily scrutinized during our screening
process. If you have a problem with this, I can tell you NOW, you need to look elsewhere for a German Shepherd,
and not waste your time with us. The motivation to place our puppies is WHAT HOME IS IN THE PUPPY'S BEST INTEREST.

  Von Haus Henry has a very special relationship with the breeders of Von Batu(located in Northern Bavaria),
and Von Der Hohen Eiche(located in Stuttgart, Germany).  Von Batu and Von Der Hohen Eiche kennels breed
only top German Shepherds, registered with the SV, and most sires are Siegers, "VA" or"V" Rated dogs of
the annual Bundessiegerzuchtschau. 

Von Haus Henry is a small hobby operation, located in Lonoke, Arkansas, 15 minutes east of Little Rock. It is an
operation committed to excellence(breeding genetically winning, healthy German Shepherds that adhere to Breed Standards),
satisfaction and honesty.  You are welcome to visit our dogs/kennel facilities.
